Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
SHIFTS: Nights (12 hours)
Duration: 12 week
Location: Murphysboro, IL
Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing care and treatment to patients who are experiencing respiratory issues. They work under the direction of physicians to assess patients, develop treatment plans, and administer treatments to improve breathing and lung function.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess patients and gather medical histories
- Perform diagnostic tests to evaluate lung function
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Administer medications and therapies
- Educate patients on their conditions and how to manage them
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- CPR , RRT , BLS , NRP certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
